Coachella advanced sales end

Advanced sales for both weekend of next year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio wrapped up just three hours after they began Thursday morning, forcing some people to get creative in their purchases.

Sales began at 11 a.m. for both weekends. By 1 p.m., tickets weren't available for the first weekend, and ticket sales for the second weekend ended an hour later according to the event's website.

Tickets were in such demand that one Palm Desert High School teacher incorporated their sale into the day's lesson plan.

Forty classroom laptops whirred away on the Coachella sales site during Chris Keuilian's fourth period math class, allowing students looking to purchase tickets to take a moment to secure their place at the festival during short breaks from a math review.Tickets are still available but you'll have to purchase them along with packages.

Based on the hotel or resort you choose, you'll get access to certain Coachella festival pool parties. If you choose to stay at the Hilton in Palm Springs, you'll get to attend the LED Day Club pool parties. Some hotels are already sold out for Weekend One so act fast.
• .2. Wait. Passes usually go back on sale around mid-January. The good thing about waiting is that the lineup may be released by then.
  Also, last year passes were available to valley residents sometime in March.
• 3. Try your luck elsewhere. You can try purchasing tickets away from Coachella.com through vendor sites like Craigslist, StubHub and eBay. You can also look through Coachella.com's forums for tickets.
